For most people, the Toronto Pan Am Games of 2015 will be remembered as a time of sport, competition, and winning. For us, it will be remembered as a time of music, celebration, and fun.
The Thompson Landry Gallery in the Distillery was transformed into the Brazilian House of the Athletes Village, and we provided the nightly soundtrack there.
It was not uncommon on big medal winning nights for spontaneous Brazilian Karaoke to elevate the room to a shared elation level.
Special guests were brought in from Brazil, including Carol from Baile da Favourite (above, with DJ Floh Back).
We also had the honour of working with famed Brazilian artists Toni Garrido from Cidade Negra (above), who is one of the judges on Brazil’s version of “The Voice”.
“Obrigado” to the Brazilian Olympic Committee for having us. Shout outs also to Presidential Gourmet for keeping us fed every night, Eduardo Lima for the great photos, and the Thompson Landry Gallery for being such gracious hosts.
