Thursday February 24th 2011 – Twist Gallery on Queen St. opened its doors to unveil the newest and hottest spot in Toronto to host a party.

Twist Gallery is a uniquely large space for the area, providing so many opportunities to get creative for such an event. DJ Floh Back Productions was involved from the get-go, assisting in bring the vision of gallery director Nadia Kakridonis to life.

The concept of having ballerinas walking around and posing by the large windows was dreamed up over coffee, as we discussed the movie Black Swan and the video for Kanye West’s song “Runaway”.

DJ Floh Back Productions provided the DJs, sound equipment and lighting as a chance to showcase our team, style, and talents. Sets were spun by DJs Rich Sweet (seen here in picture), Mike Rock and Lexx dB.

We also enlisted the talents of local live artist Jessica Gorlicky (who you may recall did an installation with her sister Melysa at Danny’s 30th Birthday bash) to bring her flair of on-site painting to the event.

Her piece of work showing a ballerina in pose got a lot of attention and offers from the industry guests, who were all by invitation only.

The amazing food stations were provided Toronto’s top culinary event companies: Daniel & Daniel, 10tation, Marigolds & Onions, and Treeline.

We were thrilled with the results of a months’ hard effort, and so pleased with the turnout of 150 of Toronto’s top industry professionals.

All smiles at the end: Nadia & Jonanthan from Twist Gallery, Danny & Kim from DJ Floh Back Productions.
