Do you want to listen to the best new songs of 2023 for events?

Looking back on another intense year of partying, 2023 was another mediocre year for new music, but together as a team we have pulled out the best  of the year for events, with a commentary on the top ten that really stood out from the pack.

  1. “Dance The Night” by Due Lipa – Under the lights, this was hands down the party song of the year. Since the Barbie movie dropped, this song was a guaranteed banger, bringing out young and old with its disco flavour.
  2. “Calm Down” by Rema Feat. Selena Gomez – Perhaps the most requested song of the year from our perspective, this one might not have exploded the party, but always brought people together.
  3. “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus – One of the best sing-along songs of the year, a new standard in break up anthems.
  4. “Lil Boo Thang” by Paul Russell – Coming out of nowhere, this rethink of “Best Of My Love” could get any party started.
  5. “(It Goes Like) Nanana” by Peggy Gou – Pressing all the feels of nostalgia with a very similar sound to ATB’s 90s trance hit “9PM (Till I Come),” some would called this the song of the summer, even if its not a full-blown dance track.
  6. “Dientes” by J Balvin, Usher & DJ Khaled – Any sample of “Yeah!” by Usher is going to get attention, and this sped up version with fun Latin lyrics is no exception.
  7. “Lottery” by Latto Feat. Lu Kala – A less exciting hit than her Mariah Carey sample song “Big Energy”, this one still worked well as a party track this year.
  8. “Baby Don’t Hurt Me” by David Guetta, Anne-Marie & Coi Leray – Guetta kept pushing the nostalgia button this year with this throwback to the 90s club anthem “What Is Love?” by Haddaway. It isn’t better than the original, but is a fun way to refresh an oldie.
  9. “Karma” by Taylor Swift Feat. Ice Spice – Swifties took over the dance floor this year, and Karma was one of the most requested of the lot.
  10. “Houdini” by Due Lipa – Rounding out the top and bottom of the Top 10, Due Lipa comes in again with this recent release is likely to carry well into next year.
