Saturday, December 5th, 2015 – To celebrate the memory of Nelson Mandela on the two year anniversary of his passing, the Giants Of Africa brought together the elite of the African and NBA communities to the ACC for a gala event following the Raptors’ game versus Golden State at the ACC. The event was attended by a star-studded cast of current and former NBA players, the commissioner of the NBA, models, athletes, and of course, Drake.
Masai Ujiri specifically requested African music for this event to compliment the performance by Miss Jully Black, and our own DJ Floh Back did not disappoint the Toronto Raptors’ President & GM.
The following morning we received a warm shout-out on G98.7 by The Voice Of Africa MC Bonde and Miss Go2Girl during the African Groove Show. The podcast can be heard here.
