Joe Fresh Style Fall 2011 Fashion Show

Heritage Building, CNE – Despite the largest seating area and widest runway of all my fashion weeks, many eager fashionistas had no choice but to stand for the highlight show of the week, Joe Fresh Style.

Everyone always wants to know what were the songs and how we picked them.

Here are the tracks in order:

1. History Repeating – The Propellorheads Feat. Shirley Bassey

2. Purple Rain – Chew Fu + Steve Clisby

3. She Came Along – Sharam Feat. Kid Cudi

4. That’s Not My Name – The Ting Tings

5. Jimmy – M.I.A.

6. Hello – Martin Solveig & Dragonette

One thing unique about this show was that none of these songs are brand new.

We usually try to have some really new songs, but the feel of this show had retro tones, and the music had to match.

I grabbed my camera and hit record to be able to share a quick video with everyone.

YouTube video from the DJ booth!

Reviews were extremely positive the next morning:

Fashion Canada for shots of most of the models

Kenton Magazine for a show review

On the whole, LG Fashion Week looked and felt different this year, thanks in large part to Seven Continents, who supplied this clever mannequin set up. Bar codes on their nether-regions link you back to LG FW’s web site.

Cheers to 6 successful shows with Joe Mimran and the Joe Fresh Team!
